Hi.

I have a combination of the four lcd buttons and a io16 having some buttons as well. My controller is OpenHab. However I guess my question is not related to OpenHab:

How can I detect long presses? I notice a difference that the lcd buttons toggle a value and doesn't trigger to release, making it very hard to detect long key presses. On the other hand the io16 sends updates on release but the current binding of OpenHab doesn't detect long key presses by using timers. To delegate this into OpenHab the rules get very complicated. I was hoping that the binding itself can detect long presses and sends updates to an item having a configuration string that "listens" on long keypresses (as HomeMatic is doing it).

anybody familiar with this?

Thanks!
