i am aware of shell api presented on tinkerforge.com, but also the fact that this is really just a wrapper for python's script that does all the job. here's an alternative approach leveraging socat, dd and od. it has a couple of limitations (listed in script) but still may suit your needs. source at https://github.com/jose1711/tinkerforge

how many physical (dis)connects are brick(let) connectors designed for? also, is it safe to (dis)connect bricklets to master bricks on the go?
