I have tried changing the autostart file as well as the xrandr command but nothing seems to work unless I dont have the correct parameters specified in my command. Thanks, Sam.

Jan 2015 In another thread there was a post that the default screen resolution of the RED is 1920x1080, but no result to which screen resolution the user could change it (German: http://www.tinkerunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,2699.msg17308.html#msg17308). To use xrandr is correct, but I'm not sure if it is possible to change the screen resolution to that value. I had three different embedded boards now and they all had a native resolution (which if 1920x1080 for the RED) and a very limited possibility to change the screen resolution. Regarding the display, the embedded boards are not that flexible.
