Windows 7- Unable to detect device in bootloader

Hi all,

I received my IOT starter kit today and after initially getting it working I tried to update the master brick firmware. I put it into bootloader mode and connected it up, but my computer will not recognise the device, and Windows shows a prompt that the device has malfunctioned.

There are no indicator lights on on the device, and the device does go away in device manager when I unplug it. However, I am unable to install the drivers in the Brickv install location as Windows says the folder does not contain a suitable driver for my device.

Can anyone offer any advice on this?

So immediately after writing that, the device started working again.

The only thing that I did differently was disconnect the USB cable and remove and reseat the ethernet module on top. Then everything started working again.

I hope someone else finds this post useful.
