tatobrutto Posted February 1, 2015 at 04:49 PM Share Posted February 1, 2015 at 04:49 PM Hi, I've built the Blinkenlights kit. It works almost perfectly with the demo program but I'm facing something I can not understand. Only the first 160 (no error: 50+50+50+10) of the 200 LED switch on and change colors. I thought the last stripe was defective...so I excluded the first stripe and connected only stripe 2,3,4: it works perfectly, all 150 led are ok. It seems the bricklet has problem in managing more than 160 led. Any help?
JavaLaurence Posted February 2, 2015 at 09:53 AM Share Posted February 2, 2015 at 09:53 AM If I recall correctly, the LED bricklet is limited to controlling an upper limit number of LEDs, depending on how much RAM the Brick has available. In other words, what else do you have connected to the Brick to which you've added the LED Bricklet? Try removing all other bricklets.. tatobrutto Posted February 3, 2015 at 05:54 PM Author Share Posted February 3, 2015 at 05:54 PM Didn't tray yet but your answer seems the correct one. You remind me about something once I've read too. A quick search..yes, it's easy when you know what to search:-) Here the doc: http://www.tinkerforge.com/en/doc/Hardware/Bricklets/LED_Strip.html#ram-constraints Thank you very much for your support.
