Im using a 5" HDMI Adafruit screen with the red brick, cant figure how to get it to rotate 90 Degrees. xrandr commands return 'Can't open display'

From where did you ran xrandr? Maybe you need to specify DISPLAY=:0?

 

DISPLAY=:0 xrandr

Thanks - that gives some improvement, but now i get:

I'm afraid that you're out of luck. From the xrandr output its seems that the RED Brick video driver doesn't support rotation, sorry
