potato101 Posted September 6, 2016 at 02:37 PM Posted September 6, 2016 at 02:37 PM Hi, I have problems connecting to the wireless internet with my RED Brick. Note: I'm using the USB wifi adapter. Every time I turn on the RED Brick, three messages comes up: 1 - ``Wicd needs to access your computer's network cards. Password`` 2 - ``Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface. Check the wicd log for error messages.`` 3 - ``The wicd daemon has shut down. The UI will not function properly until it is restarted`` Its asking me for a password but the root password doesn't work so I don't know which password to use since I haven't changed any. Do you have any idea of what I could do to fix this problem? Thanks for your help. Quote
potato101 Posted September 6, 2016 at 02:57 PM Author Posted September 6, 2016 at 02:57 PM I should of specify that because of this problem, I do not have any internet access. So it is kind of hard to debug... Thanks again. Quote
photron Posted September 7, 2016 at 05:07 PM Posted September 7, 2016 at 05:07 PM You get these messages on the desktop if you connect a display to the RED Brick? Do you have access point mode enabled? Quote
