hardillb Posted October 24, 2016 at 01:41 PM Share Posted October 24, 2016 at 01:41 PM I'm trying to upgrade my RED-Brick with apt-get and I'm getting dependency issues with perl. apt-get upgrade Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these. The following packages have unmet dependencies: perl : Depends: perl-base (= 5.20.2-3+deb8u3) but 5.20.2-3+deb8u6 is installed Recommends: rename but it is not installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f. I'm on jessie so should still be getting updates: lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Debian Description: Debian GNU/Linux 8.6 (jessie) Release: 8.6 Codename: jessie I've tried clearing out the apt-cache but no joy. Any ideas? That should fix the problem.
