Could you clarify what you mean with industrial bricklets, and when they are expected to become available in the shop?

Will the shielded bricklets cables allow for longer bricklet cables? Like 4, 6 or 10 meters. That would allow me to put bricklets in several rooms of my house and connect them to a centrally placed stack of bricks on a particalur floor.

No. 2 meters will be the longest cable there too, at least available from us. For longer distances you just need a differential signal (like the RS485 Extension has).
