Geschrieben March 16, 2013 at 14:2416. Mär 2013 Barometer bricket did not move an inch testing was in house with closed windows and doors, but its shows like he move almost 2m and "moving up and down" all the time. Showing that way soon after purchase and now after the latest firmware update. What can I do to make it fix?
Geschrieben March 16, 2013 at 16:3216. Mär 2013 The change in altitude seems to correspond to the pressure changes (left graph), so I think it is due to unstable air-pressure. I don't know the math, have you tried setting the reference air-pressure to the current pressure? Don't know if it is more reliable in the area of the reference pressure. (Altitude should be around 0m when you do this)

Geschrieben March 17, 2013 at 21:5017. Mär 2013 Mine behaves exactly the same way. A little bit surprising, I must admit.
Geschrieben March 17, 2013 at 22:5617. Mär 2013 I would expect that it stabilizes a bit more if you run it for a longer time period. A change in air pressure of 0.12mbar is really not that much i am afraid. The altitude calculation is directly correlated to the air pressure. There is nothing we can do about that. If you want the altitude to be correct in the cm range, you will need to combine it with the IMU Brick data (with a Kalman filter).
Geschrieben March 17, 2013 at 23:2017. Mär 2013 Autor so this is just a trick ? thought that You move sensor up and down to graph was not a flat line. But anyway in this image it look more solid (Altitude values). http://www.tinkerforge.com/en/doc/_images/Bricklets/bricklet_barometer_brickv.jpg
Geschrieben March 17, 2013 at 23:2717. Mär 2013 An increase of 1mbar is equal to a decrease of ~10m. You can see that in both screenshots.
Geschrieben March 18, 2013 at 17:5418. Mär 2013 Autor oscilation 1-3mbar is normal for this sensor? I have test it 5 minutes outside its fast sinusoid bechavior, going up and down +-20-30m.

Geschrieben March 21, 2013 at 20:5321. Mär 2013 Autor Video is not needed, very sorry for the confusion, the sensor is working properly. Last time when I did the test on the outside have to be affected by the weather, and my shaky hand is that I did it right behind the open window. It's amazing how reading has stabilized at a time when the sensor had a moment alone. My next step is suggested sensor fusion with IMU and GPS.
