[Python] TimeOut - Wie lange "wartet" das Programm?

Ich weiß nicht wie ich die Frage formulieren soll. Wenn das PythonSript keine Antwort vom Stack erhält, dann bricht es ab. Kann man diese Zeit (TimeOut) einstellen oder ist der fest (wie lang in sec.?).
