riccardoprandini01 Posted January 23, 2015 at 10:41 AM Posted January 23, 2015 at 10:41 AM Hi, I'm building a pump controller with my raspberry. The idea has been taken from http://www.techjava.de/topics/2014/01/basement-drainage-pump-control-and-iot/ I have an automatic pump like http://www.valco.eu/sitemanager/file/r_4_installation-dernajo-liqua_1.jpg I control the current and if it is out from specific range for a specific time I switch off the pump and send an alarm. To control the current i use amp clamp but to switch off I need a more powerful relay ThinkerForge has a Dual Relay Bricklet but support not enough Amp (when pump self start ) drained by pump. There is a Solid State Relay AC 380V/25A but I'm worry about Temp. Is the possibility to use a relay like a SONGLE SLA 05 S L C. Or something to substitute to the solded relay or the PCB has to be rebuild. Quote
borg Posted January 23, 2015 at 10:48 AM Posted January 23, 2015 at 10:48 AM I think the best option for you would be to buy a "proper" DIN-Rail mounted relay and to control this relay with a Industrial Quad Relay Bricklet. With this setup you can buy a big relay that can handle your pump easily and the Tinkerforge stuff is galvanically isolated from the switching itself! Quote
