craigwin Posted October 2, 2019 at 08:20 PM Share Posted October 2, 2019 at 08:20 PM We have been using RedBrick with a stack including Stepper Bricks for a while. Now we want to switch to a Raspberry Pi processor for more computing resources. The HAT looks interesting as it adds some features and provides eight bricklet ports. The question is whether we can use the HAT and also use a brick stack. I'm guessing if it is possible then we would need a Master Brick in the stack for communication and we would have to create two ipcon objects, one each for the HAT and the Master Brick stack. This probably hinges on whether the brickd can handle both ipcons at the same time. Does anyone have any insight into this?
borg Posted October 4, 2019 at 01:00 PM Share Posted October 4, 2019 at 01:00 PM You only need one ipcon object, if you use a HAT and a Master Brick at the same time they will just work at the same time out of the box.
